Regional Conference

On the 6th of August at 4pm, the Association of Philippine Orthodontists represented by its president Dr. Martin Reyes, Dr. Janet Pandan (APO Director), Dr. Roberto Tan (APOS Secretary General) and I (APO’s humble servant), together with two orthodontic delegates from Cambodia, Dr. Daneth San and Dr. Veng Sonita, the President of Cambodian Orthodontic Association (I mistakenly called her Dr. Sushmita Sen, former Miss Universe of India!) went on an educational historic tour of Intramuros.

The 6th Biennial Regional Orthodontic Congress of the Association of Philippine Orthodontists was held in the picturesque Tagaytay Highlands last August 8 and 9, 2011. APO President Dr. Robert Tan welcomed all the congress participants, thanking all the sponsors and trade dealers who generously helped APO in this endeavor.

We were a mix of APO members (56), Non-APO / Student Members (21) from the different universities (CEU, MCU & UE), APOS delegates (22) and foreign guests (8). It was a successful fun-filled 2-day event which featured a “white” welcome dinner for the foreign delegates on March 4, a whole day lecture by Dr. Derek Mahony on March 5 followed by an evening

The 7th Biennial Regional Orthodontic Congress was held on October 28, 2013 at the Oakwood Premiere Center in Pasig City. The program was emceed by Dr. Martin Reyes and Dr. Cristy Laureta. The invocation was led by Dr. Frances Tamayo. The delegates were formally and warmly welcomed by APO President-Elect Dr. Maria Laarni Serraon.
