A Journey to Better Smiles Continues…

On February 21, 2024, APO and Smile Train Philippines organized another outreach program for the cleft lip and palate patients and their parents at the Marikina St. Vincent General Hospital, Marikina City. A total of 10 APO volunteers performed Dental education to parents and children with cleft lip and palate conditions like proper teeth brushing methods and the importance of having good oral health. After their dental health education, all the children with cleft lip and palate conditions underwent fluoride application to strengthen their dentition and lessen the chance of dental caries. The event ended with all the children receiving loot bags containing tooth brushes and tooth paste from Smile Train foundation and PDA, as well as note pads and tote bags from UPCD batch 99 and Bible story coloring books. The outreach program brought lots of joy to the parents and children.
