7th General Meeting and Scientific Seminar

The Association of Philippine Orthodontists held its 7th General Meeting and Scientific Seminar on January 10, 2024 at One Shangri-La Place, Mandaluyong City. There were 150 registrants who attended the seminar with the theme “TMD: Facts and Fallacies: Understanding the Role of the TMJ in a Functional and Stable Occlusion.” Two esteemed speakers were invited to share their knowledge on TMD and its management. Dr. Jonathan Fandialan presented on “Archwires and TMDs: Marriage Made in Heaven or Star-crossed Lovers” while Dr. Ricardo Boncan discussed “Managing TMD in the Orthodontic Patient”. 

The seminar also coincided with the APO elections of new officers for administrative term 2024-2026. The election was done through Google Forms in order to allow APO members who were not in Metro Manila to participate in the voting procedures. 90 eligible APO members participated in the APO election 2024.
