PDA-Dolfenal Scientific Symposia (Region V)

PDA-DOLFENAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIA in Region V- Southern Luzon, hosted by Camarines Sur Dental Chapter and Region XII, Hosted by Cotabato City Dental Chapter, was held last March 17 & 21, 2017. Association of Philippine Orthodontist (APO) was represented by Dr. Crysoine R. Marquez who gave lecture about Naso-Alveolar Molding in Cleft Patient.

It was well attended with 144 attendees from Region 5 alone. Representing different chapters from Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate & Sorsogon. Likewise on Region 12, dentist not only come from SOCCSKSARGEN but from other parts of Mindanao too.

The PDA-DOLFENAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIA’S topics interested the attendees, particularly on the NAM lecture as some dentist we’re not familiar with the said lecture topic. Dr. Marquez presented the lecture in a practical way which was applicable to a General Dentist or Orthodontist practicing in an area where’s there’s no specialist. She also encouraged the participants in referring to Noordhoff Craniofacial Philippines, Inc. (NCFPI), which is in partnership with APO, to provide cleft care for patients & other services such as surgery & orthodontic treatment.
