The Association of Philippine Orthodontists proudly represented the Philippines at the 10th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) held in Rio de Janeiro from October 22–25, 2025.
Representing APO were Dr. Bernadette Lim, Dr. Dennis Lim, Dr. Pinky Naranjilla, Dr. Jose Manuel Rivera, and Dr. Obet Tan, who joined orthodontists from around the world in this prestigious global gathering organized under the World Federation of Orthodontists.
A highlight of the congress was the lecture delivered by Dr. Dennis Lim, who represented the Philippines through his presentation entitled “The Different Facets of Malocclusions and Its Treatment Approaches.”
In support of global collaboration in orthodontic education, APO Board members also participated in the First Global Orthodontic Educators Forum, which brought together educators and leaders from different countries to exchange ideas in teaching, research, and innovation in orthodontics.
APO is honored to stand alongside the international orthodontic community in advancing the art and science of orthodontics while proudly carrying the Philippine flag on the global stage.
