6th General Meeting and Scientific Seminar

On December 6, 2023, the Association of Philippine Orthodontists held its 6th General Meeting and Scientific Seminar at Palm Grove, Rockwell Club, Makati City. Two medical practitioners were invited to share their knowledge on women’s health and mental health. Dr. Rebecca B. Singson, a medical doctor specializing in OB-GYNE, provided up-to-date information on robotic surgery in the Philippines while Dr. Salvador Benjamin D. Vista, who specializes in Psychiatry, discussed the mental stresses affecting the general population.

This was followed by the induction of new members, wherein Dr. Angelica Cabral and Dr. Maria Lourdes Torres-Garcia were inducted as Affiliate members of the Association. At the same time, conferment of Life Fellows were given to Dr. Arnold S. Duterte, Dr. Robert I. Eustaquio, Dr. Leticia M. Fernandez and Dr. Katherine C. Ong, who have been fellows of the association for more than 20 years. Aside from the seminar, induction of new affiliate members and conferment of life fellows, the Association of Philippine Orthodontists also presented Dr. Ermelinda Sabater-Galang with a plaque of Recognition for being awarded by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as 2023 Outstanding Professional of the Year in the Field of Dentistry.

At the end of the program, after more than 4 years, all the members enjoyed the early Christmas get together with live music, raffle prizes and a sumptuous dinner.
