The Association of Philippine Orthodontists proudly congratulates APO Fellow Dr. Cecile Tuaño-Cabrera for being chosen as the 2025 American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA)–Smile Train Visiting Scholar.
Dr. Cabrera is the Head of the Orthodontic Program at the Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines Inc. (NCFPI) and a dedicated faculty member of the UP Graduate Program in Orthodontics. As the ACPA–Smile Train Visiting Scholar, she will have the opportunity to observe interdisciplinary, team-based cleft and craniofacial care abroad—gaining valuable insights to help establish or enhance similar programs here in the Philippines.
We are confident that Dr. Cabrera will continue to uplift the standards of orthodontic care for patients with cleft lip and palate, both through her clinical work and academic contributions.
