On August 2 & 3, 2010 the Association of Philippine Orthodontists (APO) will be observing its 30th Anniversary with the 7th Biennial National Orthodontic Congress that will feature 3 internationally renowned speakers: the tandem lecture of Dr. Peter Ngan, Professor and Chairman of the West Virginia University Department of Orthodontics and awardee of the 2007 American Association of Orthodontists Jacob Salzmann Memorial Lecture and, Dr. P. Stephen Wei, President of the Hong Kong Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Professor Emeritus at the University of Hong Kong. Their conjoint lecture will cover the topic: “Early Orthodontic Treatment”. We are fortunate to also have Dr. Chris Chang from Taiwan who will discuss the “Management of Impacted Canines and Excellent & Efficient Finishing”. He obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics and PhD in Bone Physiology from Indiana University. These three leading-edge speakers and their lecture topics for this Congress were carefully chosen to guarantee clinical relevance in the management of difficulty orthodontic cases. Table Clinics, Poster Presentations from various university-based orthodontic graduate programs and Clinical Cases from the Philippine Board of Orthodontics (PBO) will also be on display.
