Gen. Meetings 2008

It was December 3, 2008, early on a Wednesday morning, when 45 of our colleagues from the Association of Philippine Orthodontists gave up their regular routine to spend their time to bring cheer to a group of elders at the Hospicio de San Jose. As this was to be my first time to visit the institution, it was welcoming for me to have Dr. Kathrine Domingo-Capulong ride with me and navigate me through the busy streets of Manila; passing the University Belt area, she deftly guided me to a small break on the Ayala Bridge which was the entrance to the Hospicio.

A cold and gloomy day greeted everyone on the morning of the first day of October as many, for sure, found it easier to snuggle up and savor the cozy temperature of the holiday morning. Such, however, was not the case for the 38 members of the Association of Philippine Orthodontists who, despite rain showers, cold wind and the thick fog, trooped to the Tagaytay Highlands Resort to attend the new Fiscal Year’s 1st General Meeting.

The New APO Website and Dental Photography

It was Wednesday morning, February 6, 2008 when Dr. Alan Roa, member of the Philippine Acedemy of Esthetic Dentistry (PAED) and former dean of the College of Dentistry, National University delivered a lecture on Basic Intra-Oral Photography for the 8th general meeting of the Association of Philippine Orthodontists (APO) at the Rockwell Club, Makati City .
For both orthodontics and esthetic dentistry, photography serves as a useful tool for diagnosis, treatment plan presentation and documentation. The production of sharp, color accurate, beautiful images is desired. |
